Books I've Read

History of 4 Ulus (States)
by Ulugh Beg
Finished: October 2025
Notes:
One of the rare books whose genealogical narrative starts from Adam (AS), to Noah, to Turk son of Japhet, to Genghis Khan. Moreover, The author claims Turks and Mongols as close brothers in steppe – with the shared language what we call Altaic today. This claim was an interesting discovery since it contradicts contemporary view: 2 nations diverging into bigger differences 20 centuries ago. Ulugh Beg also gave short stories about how Turco-Mongolic tribes were formed, from a single family to hundreds of people in it. Overall, great book to study the ethnicity of nomads and the history of the Mongol Empire.

Khalid Ibn Walid
by Abu Bakr Subashi

Notes:
One of the greatest books about the History of Islam. A must-read!
